"Air India 1 and 2"
Custom walnut pieces for fiber artist Kira Dominguez-Hultgren
These are custom wooden pieces that my sister, the celebrated fiber artist Kira Dominguez-Hultgren, and I concocted to frame her pieces: "Air India 1" and "Air India 2", featured at the Eleanor Harwood Gallery in San Francisco in January 2025.
The four wooden "parentheses" were fashioned from local New Jersey black walnut, held together with a mix of end rabbet and mitered joinery, glued and pinned.
